ABOUT US

Mission: Restore the native woodlands, savannas, and grasslands through active management and while so doing, sustain and participate in the surrounding rural economies.

River Knob Project: JL Ranch. Bristol, Virginia.

The aim of the River Knob Project is to restore and promote the native habitats of the JL Ranch. The site over 100 acres, and is home to a half dozen  distinct habitats, and several dozen species of birds and mammals, including ruffed grouse warblers, and mudpuppies. 

We're here to restore the forgotten forested grasslands of the highland south.
